لا مبالغة في القول إن فلسطين معيار مهم لوطنية السياسي أو الحاكم المصري، لذا لم يكن غريبًا أن تتعارض مواقف أحمد زيوار باشا، وإسماعيل صدقي باشا، والسادات، ومبارك، من الشعب الفسلطيني وقضيته الوطنية، مع مواقف زعماء وطنيين، لا يشق لهم غبار، أمثال: مصطفى النحاس باشا، وجمال عبد الناصر، ثمة محاولات محمومة لشيطنة الشعب الفسلطيني وقواه المقاومة، يشتد وطيسها من حين لآخر، واللافت أن تلك المحاولات مرت على وطنيين وتقدميين، وآخرين أغلفوا ضرورة تمحيص ما يرد على ألسنة المغرضين.
في هذا الكتاب رصد لتلك المحاولات، قام به الكاتب السياسي الفسلطيني، أسامة عامر، وقدم له المؤرخ السياسي الفلسطيني عبد القادر ياسين، يبدأ الكتاب بجذور المشكلة (الفلسطينيون باعوا أرضهم، وأطماع الفلسطينيين في سيناء، قتل ثوار 25 يناير واقتحام السجون، وجريمة مقتل الجنود المصريين في رفح، واختفاء ضباط الشرطة المصرية، وتهريب الوقود.. إلى آخر الاتهامات) وقد عزز المؤلف كتابه بجملة لا تقبل الشك من الوثائق والبيانات والمقالات لعدد من الكتاب المهتمين بهذا الشأن.
