نقول ذلك لأن المؤلف الصفدي-فضلاً عن كونه مؤرخاً وهو ما اشتهر به من خلال كتابه: الوافي بالوفيات-فقد كان شاعراً وأدبياً رقيقاً، فقد وصف من قبل بعض من ترجم له بأنه أديب الزمان والشاعر المجيد، وغير ذلك من الألقاب.
