هذه الدراسة محاولة لإضفاء جديد إلى الرواية النقدية المعاصرة، تنير واحدة من أروع مغامرات الإبداع العربي والإبحار في متاهات التخييل، عندما تذوب جدران "العزل المتوهة" بين فن الرواية الحديثة والتراث المستعاد.
وتلقي ضوءاً كاشفاً على الكيفية الني نسج بها المنجز الروائي العربي علاقة اشكالية مع تراثنا- في أبعاده المعرفية والإبداعية- وهي علاقة تتحدد بنوع الذبذبات الجمالية والفكرية المتبادلة بينهما، وصولاً إلى قيام وحدة تواصلية موسعة لحدود كل منهما، في نوع من "التغذية المرتجعة"
فقد اتاح هذا التراث المهاد الملائم للتجديد والحداثة الروائية، عندما استحى الكتاب أصول الاشكالية المتجذرة فيه، بهدف صياغة "اشكال فنية" لرواياتهم ترتاد آفاقاص جمالية غير مطروقة، وتؤصل للمدونة الروائية... بينما نفخت الرواية الروح في قطاع عريض من هذا التراث- عن طريق الفن- وإضافت إليه ما يجعله حاضراً فاعلاً متجدداً، عبره الموازاة أو التراسل الفني بين ما هو روائي وما هو تراثي... على خلفية الأفق المتغير لمشروع التحديث العربي "المازم" سياسياً واستراتيجياً وحضارياَ.
