في كتاب (دراسات أدبية ولغوية مهداة إلى الأستاذ: الدكتور عادل سليمان جمال)= قال الأستاذ: أحمد العلاونة، في - بحثه (معجم المصنفات المنسوب خطأ إلى غير مؤلفيها في كتاب الأعلام) - ص441: (دمعة الباكي) نسبه إلى خليل بن أيبك الصفدي في (2/315)، ونسبه على الصحة إلى أحمد بن يحيى ابن (كذا، والصواب - والله أعلم - حذف الألف) فضل الله العمري (1/268). هـ
وهذا خلط بين كتابين؛ الأول: لوعة الشاكي ودمعة الباكي؛ لمنصور بن عبد الرحمن الحريري (ت:967)؛ وبين دمعة الباكي؛ لابن فضل الله العمري.
فالأول نشره - مع تصحيح نسبته -: سميح إبراهيم صالح، في دار البشائر، عام 1426.
ويتضمن وصفا لما يكابده العشاق، من ألم الفراق؛ وما يلاقونه من لوعة الحب؛ ويدور الكتاب على قصة، حدثت بين رجلين من الأتراك.
أما الثاني، فقد قال عنه الدكتور: سمير الدروبي - في مقدمة تحقيقه لكتاب (عرف التعريف في المكاتبات) ص85 -: هي رسالة أدبية دمعت فيها عينه على عدد من زملائه في ديوان الإنشاء، ممن ذهبوا إلى ربهم، وكشف المستشرق رايس عن ورقة منها وقام بدراستها. هـ
إذن؛ فهما كتابان، ولم يهِم الزركلي في نسبته للعمري؛ بل وهم في نسبة (لوعى الشاكي) للصفدي؛ ووَهِم العلاونة في توهيم الزركلي
