نظرت إلى تراثنا العربي الثر فوجدته حافلًا بنماذج من الأدب النسوي الذي تستحق فيه كل أديبة أو شاعرة منهن درسًا مستقلًا في ضوء ما استحدث من نظريات ونظرات أثرت الرؤية إلى النص ومناهج كاشفة أسهمت في الولوج إلى حفريات النصوص والوصول إلى المتعة واللذة معًا.
ولكن وشاح الأخيلية وشعرها ظلا يطارداني ويغازلاني ويغوياني حتى وقعت في فتنتها أنًا وذاتًا، جميلة خلبت الألباب، وأسرت الفؤاد وشاعرة غلبت الفحول، وحيرت العقول.
ولأن المنهج لا يستدعي النص، بل النص هو الذي يستقطب المنهج ويلح في طلبه، وندائه كانت هذه الدراسة التي لبت النداة؛ ففرقت بين مفاهيم فلسفية دقيقة شغلت حيزًا كبيرًا في النقد الأدبي الحديث؛ أعني الأنا، والذات، والآخر، ورأيت أن أحسم الرأي في تحديد الفروق الدقيقة بينها، في هذه الدراسة على الأقل، وأنطلق منها في رسم صورة تشبه ما وقعت فيه من غواية؛ فوجدت ليلى تشتبك في صراعين؛ أحدهما: داخلي بين الأنا والذات، وثانيهما خارجي بين أحد هذين الصريعين والآخر الذي قد يكون حاكمًا مستبدًا أو خليفة مطاعًا، أو أميرًا طاغية، أو ناقدًا متسلطًا، أو شاعرًا معتديًا، وقد يكون العكس؛ أي وقع الآخر في فتنة الأنا، أو الذات التي قهرت الفحول.
