مختصر الدرر المضيئة من الفتاوى المصرية لشيخ الإسلام ابن تيمية هو مورد صافي ينهل منه المسلمون الناصحون لأنفسهم من العبادات والعقائد والشرائع والأحكام ما شاء لهم. وشيخ الإسلام ابن تيمية يتناول في فتاويه هذه المسألة يفيض فيها إفاضة تلم بكل نواحيها، ويسوق عليها من الأدلة العشرات، مستطرداً في البحث حتى يأتي بالأشباه والنظائر. ومن هنا كان الموضوع الواحد قد يتكرر في عدة مواضع للمناسبة والتنظير. لذا جاءت المحاولة في هذا الكتاب لاختصار المسائل ولم شملها، وتقريب موردها، فيكون بذلك صاحب المختصر قد أعطى للفتاوى خلاصة مركزة، وكان أيضاً مما سهل من الانتفاع بفتاوى شيخ الإسلام، تبويبها في هذا المختصر على أبواب الفقه، وترتيبها ترتيباً مفيداً، فضلاً عن أن المختصر حوى كثيراً جداً من الفتاوى التي لا توجد في المطبوعة.
