تقول في المقدمة " ... في وطني، الأحداث مأساوية بسبب أصحابها يا زميلي، فالقتل وجهة نظر، والعنف والتهميش وجهة نظر، والخيانة بكل أنواعها وجهة نظر، ولدى جميع المتربصين في قوقعة جهلهم وجهة نظر، ولأننا في مجتمع فقد البصر، كتبت هذا الكتاب".
النصوص في الكتاب متساوقة مع سياق عام، يغطي المشهد السياسي والإقتصادي والإجتماعي في لبنان، يعبر عن موقف إيديولوجي للأحداث المسردوة في العمل، وكما يقول أحد الباحثين "بواسطة السرد، نتعلم كيفية تكوين وجهات نظر مستقرة وغير مستقرة، ووجهات النظر هذه تكون حاسمة في تنمية حدة الشعور بالذات بالآخرين، وتكون ضرورية - أيضاً - لبناء الإطار الأخلاقي" David Middleton .
يتألف الكتاب من العناوين الآتية: 1- وطن النجوم، 2- إنهم يتكاثرون .. يتفشون، 3- مئات العصافير تسقط كل يوم، 4- الحشرات تتمتع بكرامة لا يتمتع بها الإنسان، 5- باتت الحياة الشريفة "قرفاً".
