يمثل هذا الإصدار للشاعرة والباحثة فاطمة الهاشمي مساراً جديداً في جهود توثيق الشعر النبطي ورواياته الشفاهية في دولة الإمارات، حيث اعتنت الباحثة بالمرويات الشعرية التي تحفظها النساء في دولة الإمارات، وتحديداً الراويات المحفوظة في إمارة أبو ظبي، ودونتها على مدى سنوات طويلة، مما نتج عن ذلك جمعها روايات مهمة تشكل إضافة نوعية وكمية مهمة للشعر الشفاهي المدوّن في الإمارات.
وارتأت الباحثة فاطمة الهاشمي توثيق هذه المرويات في أكثر من عمل، منها هذا العمل الذي يوثق الأبيات الشعبية مجهولة القائل.
ومن المعروف أن مثل هذه الأبيات تحمل مواصفات خاصة جعلتها قابلة للإنتشار في المجتمع قديماً بسرعة وشكل كبيرين، لتتحول مع مرور الوقت إلى أبيات تنتمي إلى الذاكرة الشعبية مجهولة القائل.
ولا نجد في النصوص الشعرية الواردة في هذا العمل التوثيقي المهم عدداً ثابتاً لأبياتها، فهي تمتد من بيت واحد إلى أبيات عديدة.
وقد يلاحظ القارئ الكريم والباحث المختص أن بعض المرويات الواردة في هذا الكتاب معروفة وشائعة وربما وردت أبيات منها في مصادر ومراجع سابقة، إلا أن أهمية تدوينها وتوثيقها في هذا العمل يأتي من باب الإختلافات التي قد تحملها، كما أنها تظهر من جانب آخر طبيعة الأبيات العالقة بالذاكرة النسائية الشعبية من أبيات وما قد تحمله من ظواهر خاصة بطبيعة مواضيعها ومفرداتها.
