يقوم هذا الكاتب بتدوين تاريخ الدفاع الجوي العراقي منذ نشأته عام 1939م والذي هو جزء مهم من تاريخ الجيش العراقي، وأن ما سجل في هذا الكتاب يكشف لأول مرة تطور هذا الصنف منذ ولادته وحتى إستقراره بصيغته الأخيرة.
قيادة منفصلة في الجيش العراقي الباسل عام 1993م وعرج على الدور القومي الوطني الذي قام به الدفاع الجوي العراقي في حروب التحرير للأرض العربية المحتلة فلسطين في أعوام 1948م، وعام 1967م، وعام 1973م وكذلك الدور الوطني في حرب مايس عام 1941م ضد الإحتلال البريطاني والحرب العراقية الإيرانية (القادسية الثانية) في عام 1980م ومراحل تطور القيادة والسيطرة.
ثم خلصت في نهاية إلى الإستنتاجات والقناعات المتحققة منها، أمل أن يكون هذا الكتاب إضافة علمية توعية متواضعة في المكتبة العسكرية العربية.
