كتب كثير من المؤلفين الأروبيين علىالحركة الإسلامية بعد الحرب ، فمنهم مخطئ ومنهم مصيب ومنهم من خلط قولا سديدا وآخر بعيدا. ومنهم من تكهن بالشر وأنذر بالويل ومنهم من أحسن الظن وهدى إلى الطيب من القول. ولا شك في كون خيرة ما ألف في هذا الباب ونبلة ما خيض من هذا العباب هو الكتاب المسمى "بالعالم الاسلامي الجديد" تاليف العلامة الحصيف البليغ المستر ستودارد الأمريكي الذي أخرجه كتابا جامعا وشهابا لامعا، وحصيلة بحث دقيقة، ونتيجة احفاء عميق، فهو في هذا الموضوع أفضل المؤلفات على التحقيق ، وقد انبرت اقلام "مرهفة لجلاء عرائسه على منصة هذه اللغة الفصحى ، إنما سبق غيره إلى الإتمام، الشاب الديب الكاتب الناهض عجاج افندي نويهض ، فابرزه في حلة من نسيج الضاد تشتد بها نطق النطق، وتقترن بها حلاوة العبارة بلسان الصدق وكان قد كتب إلى في العام الماضي وانا في اوربا يلتمس منى تصدير هذا الكتاب بمقدمة تليق بمقامه الخطير وتكون في أوله مقدمة وهى في الحقيقة من ورائه ظهير وكنت قبل ذلك اطلعت على هذا الكتاب ووقفت على ما فيه من جمال مناح وسداد آراء وسمعت حسن الأحدوثة عنه ممن يعرفون الخمر منا لخل من القراء فرايته لإضطراره إلى الإجمال وعدم تعرضه لكثير من المسائل الا على سبيل الإيماء ومن قبيل الاستشهاد يحتاج في بعض المظان إلى الا كمال او الايضاح فعلقت عليه مما املاه الخاطر الفاتر حواشي رجوت ان تكون طرازا لحبره ونظام لدرره. الإمضاء شكيب أرسلان
