يحتوي على مجموعة من القصص القصيرة التي أخذت كعينات مافقة للموضوع المطروح بالدرجة الأولى، وهي ليست على سوية واحدة في البناء الفني، لأن غايتها كانت الموضوع أولاً، ثم سبل المعالجة والبناء الفني. واعتمد الكاتب على بعض الأسماء دون غيرها، وقصص كثير لكاتب دون كاتب هو الانسجام مع الموضوع. لذلك ليس للمتلقي أن يعجب وجود قصص قصيرة للربيع والصيف مثلاً في مجموعة واحدة للكاتب نفسه، بينما تغيب أسماء أدبية لها دورها في الفعل القصصي لا لسبب أكثر من أن الموضوع قد فرض نفسه ،فكان أن استثنيت هذه السماء والقصص من الحضور. ومن القصص التي يتناولها الكتاب في موضوع فصل الشتاء: فوارق الحياة ،احتواء بعض الأمل ،حلم ينقصه الواقع... وفي موضوع فصل الربيع: مبدأ الصراع والتناقض، الربيع والأمل بهجة الربيع امنعها العوائق... وفي موضوع فصل الصيف: الناس والصيف، الصيف بزوغ لنسمة الحرية والصيف والأمل... وفي موضوع الخريف: هريف الخريف: فصل العزلة، انهيار التواصل في الخريف، خريف الخيبة والفشل، الخريف والخوف...
