التراثُ العربيّ في أكثره ما يزالُ مخطوطاً، يحتاجُ إلى جهودٍ متكاتفةٍ ودؤوبةٍ لنشرِ طياتِه، ونفضِ غبار الزمنِ عنه، لا سيّما أن هناك علماء مشهورين لم يحظ الباحثون بالإطلاع على تصانيفهم، لأنها ما زالت مخطوطة، ويعدّ ابن الدهّان من هؤلاء العلماء الذين تشكو المكتبة من قلة كتبهم على كثرتها.
وكنت قد أطّلعت على مخطوط بعنوان (الغرة في شرح اللمع) لابن الدهان، ووجدتُ عنده آراء طريفةً، وعلماً غزيراً، فعقدتُ العزمَ من يومها على تحقيقِ هذا المخطوطِ، لكنَّ الرياح تجري بما لا تشتهي السفن، فبعدَ أن رحتُ أبحثُ عن مخطوطِ الغرةِ، وجدتُ أن المتوافرَ منه في مكتبةِ جامعةِ مؤتة ما هو إلا الجزء الثالثُ من الكتابِ، ثم علمتُ أنَّ هناك نسخةً من هذا الكتاب في المكتبة التيمورية في مصر، فأرسلتُ في طلب صفحات منها، فوجدتُها الجزء الثاني من الكتابِ، وجهدتُ في العثورِ على الجزء الأول، لكنّي لم أعثر عليه.
كما أنّي وجدتُ الجزءين المتوافرينِ من هذا الكتاب يزيدانِ على 516 ورقةً من الحجمِ الكبيرِ، فعلمتُ أنَّ تحقيقَ مثلِ هذا الكتابِ يحتاجُ إلى جهودٍ كبيرةٍ لا جهدَ فردٍ، لذا ضربتُ عنه الذكرَ صفحاً.
لكنَّ اسمَ ابن الدهّان ظل يرافقُني، فرحتُ أفتّشُ في فهارسِ المخطوطاتِ عن كتبِه، حتى عثرتُ على كتابِ (شرح الدروس) وعلمتُ أنه نسخةٌ وحيدةٌ يتيمةٌ في المكتبة السليمانية في تركيا، فأرسلت في طلبها، فوصلتني مصورةً على قرص (cd) فقلّبتها وقرأتُها كاملةً، حتى تيقنتُ من أنها كاملة، وأنها لم تُنشر سابقاً، فعملتُ على تحقيقها.
ويكتسبُ هذا الكتابُ أهميّته من كونه لأحد كبار النحويين الذين ضنَّ الزمانُ علينا بمؤلفاتهم، إذ لم يصل من مؤلفاتِه في النحو إلا كتابُ الفصولِ في العربية، وهو كتابٌ موجزٌ في النحو، وكتابُ الغرة في شرح اللمع، وهو - كما أسلفنا - ناقصٌ، وما يزالُ مخطوطاً، كما يُعدّ هذا الكتاب كتاباً تعليمياً متميزاً، يُوصل المعلومة بأيسر الطرق وأقصرها مدعمةً بالشواهد الكثيرة، وهو - كما أظن - كتابٌ صالحٌ لأنْ يُدرس لطلبةِ الجامعات.
