في هذا الكتاب ترصد لنا المؤلفة الأستاذة "نسرين عبد الحميد" ثلاثة موضوعات، تتميز بجدتها ومواكبتها لأحداث العصر وقضايا الساعة على المستوى العالمي أو المحلى، ففي الكتاب تقوم المولفة بدارسة المسئولية الجنائية عن نقل عدوى عرض انفلونزا الطيور في الشريعة والقانون، وهى في هذا المقام لا تكتفي بالشق القانوني والتشريعى فقط لتعرضه على قارئها، وإنما تقوم تقوم بشرح مفصل للمرض ومراحلة وفيروسه وأنواعه، وما يعرف عنه كوباء عالمي.. كذلك كيفية انتقاله من شخص لآخر، وكيفية الحد من انتشاره.. وكثير غير هنا من التفاصيل التى تمدنا المؤلفة بمعلومات عنها. هذا عن الموضوع الأول أما الثانى فهو فى علم اكتشاف الجرائم وقد تطور كثيراً فى الوسائل والطرق التى يعتمد عليها، وهذا مانجده جلياً ويبينه التناول الذى يتدرج خطوة بخطوة بدءاً من نشأته ووصولاً إلى استخدام بصمه الشعر والحمض النووى فى الكشف عن الجرائم. نصل بعد هذا على الموضع الثالث والأخير وهو ما يتعلق بقضية شائكة كثر الحديث فيها بين مؤيد ومعاض ومستنكر ومستهجن، ألا وهى قضية ختان الإناث، وفيها تجمع المؤلفة بين القانون والدين والطب.. وذلك باستعراضها لآراء الفقهاء والقانونين، وشرح طريقة الختان الشرعية.. وكذلك رأى العلماء والدراسات التى تبين فوئاد وأضرار الختان.. لتصل فى النهاية إلى حسم الخلاف فى تلك القضية .. وذلك فى نهاية هذا الجزء.
