هذه الرواية إنها مزيج فريد بين القصة بمفهومها العام وبين السيرة بموضوعها الخاص، هي قصة مهاجر لبناني إلى ألمانيا عام 1959، من النادر إلى أن يخلوَ بلد في العالم من مواطن لبناني، لذا تكتسب هذه الرواية مشروعية الخوض بها، إذ أن السيرة المروية ليست خاصة ببطلها دون غيره، لذلك نجد من أحداثها ما ينفعل في مسيرة هذا المغترب المهاجر او ذاك.
رواية من دون هدف وازن، ربما تكون ممتعة ومسلية للقارئ لكنها لا تترك أثراً في بنياته الفكري ولا تضيف شيئاً في هيكل معارفه، هدف هذه الرواية، وهو ميزتها وبيت قصيدها، إنها تلقي الضوء على العنصرية التي تواجه بطلها في جديد مجتمعه وأسرته الألمانية، وتتطال زواج "المساكنة" العلني في أوروبا؛ فهم لا يخجلون ما يفعلون، وتتوقف عند الزويجات المُتخفيَّة في بلادنا (العرفي والمتعة والمسيار...) فنحن نخجل مما نفعله تحت الطاولة.
وتمر الرواية على الصراع الخفي بين العرب والصهاينة، فالصهاينة يحاولون، أنى استطاعوا، إفشال كل ناجح من بلد عربي حتى وإن لم يكن مهتماً بالصراع العربي اليهودي.
وللرواية أهداف أخرى، قد تكون أقل أهمية تبدو واضحة، كالتذكير بسوء بعض عادات الشرق وبمأثورات ذات دلالة عقلانية، تأتي من غير تطفُّل وتبدو الحاجة إليها طبيعية في سياق المتن كجزء لا بد منه لإثبات أمرٍ ما...
كل ذلك يتم إخراجه بأسلوب أدبي مشوِّق، بحيث تفيض الكلمة بما يختزن قائلها من أحاسيس ومشاعر، في إطار قصة مهاجر شاب رفعه حُسن تدبيره وحنكته في إختراع نهايات سعيدة لأزماته، وإستبدال سلبيات آلامه بإيجابيات، ومقارعة سيف العنصرية بمختلف أشكالها... إلى أن حاصره القدر المكتوب.
يبقى القول إنها "رواية / سيرة" كنتُ شاهداً على أحداثها وتواريخها، فهي حقيقية وواقعية بنسبة كبيرة، وما الزيادات إلا من باب ضروريات الفن الروائي، واستبدلتُ معظم الأسماء الحقيقية بأسماءٍ من عندياتي... أملاً أن تلقى الإستحسان لدى القرَّاء والعاملين في النقد الأدبي.
