نحن اليوم بحاجة- أكثر من أي وقت مضى- إلى خطباء دعاة، قادرين على مخاطبة الناس وإقناعهم بالانحياز إلى الإسلام، والتأثير فيهم، واستمالتهم إلى اختياره عقيدة ومنهج حياة.
إننا- في موكب الدعوة الإسلامية- بحاجة ماسة إلى خطباء يعمر الإيمان قلوبهم، وتملأ الرغبة في الدعوة إلى الله كيانهم، فينطلقون على هدى وبصيرة، يخرجون الناس من الظلمات إلى النور بإذن ربهم، ويمكنون للإسلام- من خلال خطبهم- في قلوب الناس وواقع حياتهم، ويعبدون الخلق لخالقهم، فيسعدون في معاشهم ومعادهم.
ومن هنا تبرز أهمية فن الخطابة، وضرورة تعلمه لكل مشتغل بالدعوة إلى الله تعالى.
وقد استهديت الله تعالى فهداني لكتابة هذا البحث في علم الخطابة، وحاولت أن لا تكون الدراسة نظرية مجردة، مقصورة على قواعد ومسائل العلم، دون ربطها بالحقل الدعوي وما يقتضيه، فاجتهدت أن يكون البحث من منظور فني يعالج الموضوع وفق قواعد علم الخطابة، ويحاول توظيف فن الخطابة في مجال الدعوة إلى الله تعالى.
