جعل الله غاية الرسالة الإسلامية، ومقصدها الأساس: إلحلق الرحمة بالعالمين، وإخراج الناس من الظلمات إلى النور، قال تعالى: "آلز كتب أنزلته إليك لتخرج الناس من الظلمت إلى النور بإذن ربهم إلى صراط العزيز الحميد".
وانطلاقاً من هذه الغاية يضع "عمر عبيد حسنة" مقالات تصب جميعها في إطار التفكير المقصدي أو التفكير الإستراتيجي، الذي بدأ برأيه يتراجع في حياة المسلمني، بسبب غياب المرجعية الحقيقية لمعرفة الوحي وأداء النبوة وفهم خير القرون –عصر الرسول-.
وفي هذا السياق يتناول المؤلف ما شاع في حياة المسلمين من عقائد وأفكار بعيدة عن التدين الحقيقي كــ، شيوع عقيدة الجبر، أو فكرة الجبر، وهي التي تلغي الإرادة، وتعفي الإنسان من المسؤولية على القدر. وليس أقل من ذلك خطراً أيضاً شيوع عقيدة الإرجاء التي يعتبرها المؤلف تراخي في التعامل مع الحكام الشرعية، وانطفاءً للفاعلية، وتخاذل عن الإرتقاء والتطلع إلى المثل الأعلى، لذلك كله يعتبر المؤلف: بأن أي تأويل أو تفسير يخرج بعمومه عن فهم وتفسير خير القرون، أو يعود عليه بالنقص أو الإلغاء فمردود وشاذ، (...) فالعصمة من التأويل الفاسد والتدين المغشوش وتسرب علل تدين الأمم السابقة، إنما تتحقق بالعودة إلى التزيل والتطبيق في عصر النبوة وفهم السلف الصالح".
