يكتب الدكتور "محمد صديق الزين علي" في عجالة من الزمن "احتمالية السودان لمآلات ما بعد استفتاء 9/1/2011م، يضع فيه الخطوات الأولى لمقدمة النظرية والتاريخ القادمة التي تطبق في هذه البلاد الجديدة بعد ذلك التاريخ منفصلة إلى شطرين شمالي وجنوبي أو موحدة. يطرح هذا الكتاب سؤالاً كبيراً وخطيراً "يفرض احتمالين في نظرية قادمة وتاريخ لا ثالث لهما لكل ما يثار قبل حدوث ذلك؛ حتى يصبح واقعاً معاشاً؛ هما احتمال التدخل الخارجي، أثره في ذلك فريضة متوقعة؛ والواقع الداخلي ومساعدته على حدوث تلك الاحتمالية (...)". "أما الاحتمال الثاني والخطير هو الذي تتم معالجته في ظل دراسة الخيارات الداخلية التي تساعد في حدوث تلك الاحتمالية المتوقعة الحدوث بمفهوم أهل مكة أدرى بشعابها (...) وعليه يناقش هذا الاحتمال من خلال دراسة الشعوب للاستفادة من التفاعلات التي تفرزها في خلق الاحتماليات التي تساعد في نشر السياسة العالمية؛ (...) وبعد مناقشة هذين الاحتمالين تتضح معالم الاحتمالية التي تكون نتيجةً لمخرجات هذين الفرضين اللذين وضعا لتحقيق حدوث تلك الاحتمالية في قراءة استباقية للأحداث في التنبؤ بشكل السودان بعد الاستفتاء". وأخيراً يعتبر الدكتور محمد صديق الزين علي "أن حيثيات هذه الدراسة تقول خلاصة الأمر أن ما يجري هو القضاء على مفهوم الدين في الدولة حتى الذي يقال باللسان فقط الذي ظهر في بداية الإسلام في جزيرة العرب منذ إرسال المبعوث رحمة للعالمين رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم استعداداً لقتله في القلوب ولو استطاعت إلى ذلك سبيلاً (...)".
