قضايا وتوجهات حديثة في التربية الخاصة، عنوان قد يفتح قضايا عدة للنقاش والحوار ما بين الواقع وبين الطموح، ويثير أسئلة كثيرة منها: ما هي بيئة التعلم الفضلى لذوي الحاجات الخاصة؟، وما العوامل المحيطة بها التي قد تسهم في نجاحها أو إخفاقها؟، فمصطلح بيئة التعلم يعني: مكان التعلم وزمانه وشروطه الفيزيائية والحسية. وهذا يعني أن يكون الزمان والمكان مفتوحين وذلك بالاعتماد على ما تقدمه التكنولوجيا لعملية التعلم، فالبيئة قد تكون افتراضية أو على الشبكة أي لا وجود للمكان، كما تعني بيئة التعلم الشروط الفضلى التي يحدث عندها التعلم مراعين الفروق الفردية لذوي الحاجات الخاصة، فالتعلم حاجة فريدة للإنسان ولكل متعلم، والتعلم يدعم الروابط الإنسانية الإيجابية اللازمة للتعلم الفعّال، ولهذا فإن بيئات التعلم هي بنى وأدوات ومجتمعات تلهم المتعلمين والتربويين بلوغ المعرفة والتعامل معها، كما تزودهم بالمهارات اللازمة للقرن الحادي والعشرين.
لما تقدم أضع بين أيدي القراء الأعزاء الطبعة الأولى من كتاب " قضايا وتوجهات حديثة في التربية الخاصة " وذلك للرغبة الملحة في إلقاء الضوء على تلك القضايا والتي أعتقد بأنها لم تلقَ مزيداً من الاهتمام في الوطن العربي على الرغم من إثبات نجاعتها في الدول التي سبقتنا في مجال رعاية وخدمات ذوي الحاجات الخاصة بعيداً عن التخبطات والاستمرار في التعامل التقليدي مع هذه الفئة، وتحديداً سعى الكتاب بفصوله الخمسة إلى تناول تلك القضايا كما يلي:
الفصل الأول: تم تناول قضية "نظرية العقل"، الفصل الثاني: تطرق إلى "نظرية الذكاءات المتعددة" كنظرة تفاؤلية لذوي الحاجات الخاصة، الفصل الثالث: استعرض "التربية الخاصة وإستراتيجية تدريس الأقران" من حيث العوامل التي تسهم في نجاح أسلوب تدريس الأقران، الفصل الرابع: فسعى إلى شرح "مدرسة المستقبل" كنافذة أمل لذوي الحاجات الخاصة، الفصل الخامس: فقد وضح هذا الفصل "التغذية إحدى بدائل الوقاية والحد من انتشار الإعاقات".
