ووفقاً لذلك، تم في هذا المؤلف دراسة ثلاثة محاور جغرافية تبرز الإطار الجغرافي العام للكتل القارية في العالم وهي الخصائص الجغرافية العامة، والمناخ، والسكان، لذلك تتوزع فصول الكتاب على ستة أجزاء خصص الجزء الأول منها لدراسة قارة أسيا - أوسع قارات العالم مساحة، والجزء الثاني لدراسة قارة أفريقيا، والجزء الثالث لدراسة قارة أوروبا، والجزء الرابع لدراسة قارة أمريكا الانجلوسكسونية، والجزء الخامس لدراسة قارة أمريكا اللاتينية، والجزء السادس لدراسة قارة أستراليشيا،وزود المؤلف بعدد 42 شكلاً لتعين في تتبع الظواهر والمواقع قيد المعالجة خلال فصول الكتاب، وأرجو أن أكون بهذا العمل المتواضع قد أسهمت في أبرز الملامح الجغرافية العامة للكتل القارية في إطار مؤلف واحد.
