قدم كتابنا هذا نظرية الجهة البلاغية بوصفها مقاربة معرفية للأوجه البلاغية انطلاقا من دعامتين أساسيتين: فالأولى، هي المنظور الزمني التفاعلي الذي يؤول تلك الأوجه بالنظر إلى مواقعها في الجهات البلاغية، بينما الثانية تشكل المنظور المعرفي الذي يضع الجهات في قوالب مستقلة نسبيا عن بعضها بعض ومتفاعلة بواسطة منافذ متعددة. وبناء على ما سبق، صغنا فرضية الكثافة البلاغية التي تسم الوجه البلاغي في الخطاب أيا كان مع وجود درجة التشاكل العالية في الخطاب الأدبي. فهي بذلك إسقاط معرفي وتداولي تنتجه مقصديات المتخاطبين ضمن شروط اجتماعية معينة. وقد تحققنا من صحة هذه الفرضية عن طريق تفسير وتأويل ظاهرة " الزمانية " معرفيا ولغويا وبلاغيا. ذلك أن إثبات البعد الوجودي للزمان يقتضي تفسير العلاقات الواردة بين مختلف المقولات الزمنية من قبيل المراكز الإشارية والرتبة والجهة .
