احتوى الكتاب على تسعة فصول ، جاء الفصل الاول منها موضحا معنى التكنولوجيا وتكنولوجيا التعليم والمفاهيم المرتبطة بهما ، ومعرفا مصادر التعليم في تكنولوجيا التعليم . اما الفصل الثاني فقد تطرق الى التفكير والتفكير الابداعي من حيث تعريف التفكير ومستوياته وأسسه ومبرراته ، واساليب تنميه ، وعالج الابداع ومهارات التفكير الابداعي وطرق تنميته . اما الفصل الثالث فقد بين مدى ارتباط تكنولوجيا التعليم بتعليم التفكير . في حين أوضح الفصل الرابع دور الافراد ( المعلمين والطلبة ) في تنمية التفكير . وجاء الفصل الخامس موضحا دور الوسائل التعليمية التعلمية في تنمية التفكير . اما الفصل السادس فقد بين دور المواد والاجهزة في تنمية التفكير . في حين عالج الفصل السابع دور الاماكن والاساليب في تنمية التفكير . وجاء الفصل الثامن بمجموعة من التدريبات والالعاب المعتمدة على تكنولوجيا التعليم والتي من شأنها تنمية التفكير . اما الفصل التاسع فقد جاء بمجموعة من البرامج المقترحة والخطط لتنمية التفكير الابداعي لدى الطلبة من خلال أسلوب الاستقصاء المعتمد على تكنولوجيا التعليم
