نازك سابا يارد (مواليد عام 1928) كاتبة فلسطينية يحفل رصيدها بعشرات الكتب في مجال النقد الأدبي، تناولت فيها شعراء عرب من مختلف المدارس والعصور من العباسي أبي نواس إلى شاعر المهجر اللبناني الياس أبو شبكة.
وقد اعتُمدَت أطروحتها 'الرحالون العرب وحضارة الغرب في النهضة العربية الحديثة' مرجعًا في جامعة السوربون في فرنسا.
ورغم نجاح كتاباتها النقدية، لم تغفل يارد الكتابة الإبداعية فأصدرت بعض الروايات كما كتبت قصصًا للناشئة بعد أن قضت زهاء ثلاثين عامًا من عمرها في مهنة التدريس.تعيش اليوم في بيروت وهي عضو في 'تجمع الباحثات اللبنانيات'.

"لم يبق على عودة العم إلى جبيل إلا يومان. يجب أن تفتح العمة الموضوع مع ندى. كانت قد قالت لأخيها إنها هي ستكلم ندى. لكن: متى؟ كيف؟ السؤالان يشغلانها منذ شهر. كل صباح تواجهها عينا أخيها المستفهمتان. لا يسأل. إلا أنها تفهم ما يريد... والآن لا بد أن تصارح ندى. أخوها يعود بعد غد، ويريد أن يعرف".
لندى مع عمتها ذكريات جميلة، فهي الشخص الوحيد الذي اهتم بها بعد وفاة والديها بحادث الطائرة، وهي الإنسانة الوحيدة التي مدتها بالحب والحنان، أما عمها المقيم في أميركا فهو بالنسبة لها شخص غريب فبالرغم من رابطة الدم التي تربطها معه إلا أنه حسب اعتقاد ندى لم يتكرم أبداً بالسؤال عنها وعن صحتها وهو اليوم يطلب منها مغادرة من تحب لتعود معه إلى بلاد المهجر حيث يعيش، تاركةً عمتها، أصدقائها، أرضها، فهل ستلبي عداء عمها وستهاجر معه في رحلته الطويلة؟ وما هو مصير عمتها؟ ومن سيتكفل بإعالته العمة بعد سفرها؟
