كما أنها تعتبر من المناطق الواعدة اقتصادياً واجتماعياً، بالرغم من ظلال الحاضر وضبابية رؤية المستقبل. فهي منطقى مفصلة من الناحية الموضوعية، ومن وجهة النظر التاريخية لأنها شكلت بوتقة انصهار عرقي وثقافي وروحى واجتماهي يرجع مداها إلى أزمان سحيفة. وقد ظلت دارفور حاضنة ومفرخة لهذا الإنصهار على نار هادئة وبدفء حنون لمدة تربو على الخمسة قرون من الزمان وهى فترة بكل المقاييس ليست بالقصيرة من تاريخ الأمم.
