يُعدُّ كتاب أمالي "ابن الحاجب" أوَّل كتاب من كتب الأمالي خاص بالنّحو، لذا فهو موضوع البحث والدّرس في هذه الدراسة، التي جاءت بعنوان "أصول الدرس النحوي في أمالي "ابن الحاجب" دراسة تركيبية تطبيقية"، وكتاب "الأمالي" له أهمية كبيرة عند العلماء، ولهذا فإنَّ كلّ من ترجم لـ"ابن الحاجب" قد أطرى هذا الكتاب المليح، وأثنى عليه ثناءً كبيراً.
إنَّ أصول الدرس النحوي التي وردت في الأمالي لم تنل حقها في دراسة علمية، فهي لم تُفْرَد بدرس مستقل يتناولها نظراً وتطبيقاً، فجاءت هذه الدراسة لتكشف عن نظرة "ابن الحاجب" إلى أصول الدرس النحوي وتعرض طريقته في دراستها وآراءه فيها، وتتناولها بالدرس والتحليل وتربطها بدراسات النحاة القدامى والمحدثين.
وجاءت هذه الدراسة في مقدمة وتمهيد وثلاثة فصول وخاتمةٍ، تناول التمهيد "ابن الحاجب" وكتابه "الأمالي"؛ أما الفصل الأول فتناول "موقف ابن الحاجب من السّماع والقياس والإجماع وإستصحاب الحال"؛ وتناول الفصل الثاني العلّة النّحوية والتعليل والعامل النّحوي، وعرض الفصل الثالث للتأويل النحوي.
ثم انتهت الدراسة إلى خاتمة تضمنت أهم النتائج التي توصل إليها؛ أما منهج المؤلف في هذه الدراسة فقد اعتمد على البحث عن أصول النحو عند "ابن الحاجب" في كتابه "الأمالي"، ثمّ تصنيفها بحسب الفصل الذي تنتمي إليه، فعالج أصول النحو، بدراسة وصفية تطبيقية، وتنوعت مصادر الدراسة ما بين كتب تحدَّثت عن حياة "ابن الحاجب" مثل كتب التراجم والطبقات، وما بين كتب النحو والصرف قديمها وحديثها، والمعاجم اللغوية، وكتب التفسير، وأصول الفقه، وإعراب القرآن، وغريب إعراب القرآن، والقراءات القرآنية.
