علي شندب، إعلامي وناشط سياسي لبناني، ولد في قرية بقرصونا - الضنية بشمال لبنان عام 1965، تلقى تعليمه في مدينة طرابلس، ويعتبر من فاعليات وقيادات العمل الشعبي الوحدوي العربي.
شارك في العديد من الأنشطة الفكرية والثقافية والسياسية والنضالية ضمن أطر ومؤسسات شعبية وسياسية وعسكرية متعددة متعددة، منها: - شارك في الدفاع عن بيروت ولبنان أثناء الغزو الإسرائيلي عام 1982 ضمن "جيش لبنان العربي" - إلتحق بالجيش اللبناني عام 1983 ثم شكّل "تجمع العسكريين الوطنيين" - مستشار ورئيس تحرير "جريدة الجماهير" الطرابلسية اللبنانية - مراسل ميداني "لفضائية लबक" اللبنانية لتغطية غزو العراق وإحتلاله وإنطلاق مقاومته عام 2003، وقد ساهم عمله في العراق طيلة عام 2003، والتقارير الجريئة التي ميّزت تقاريره ومراسلاته التلفزيونية في تحقيق شهرة واسعة في لبنان والعالم العربي، ويمكن القول بأن مشاركته في تغطية أحداث غزو العراق كانت محطة مفصلية في مسيرته المهنية وشهرته الإعلامية - مراسل ومدير مكتب "الحياة LBC" في الجماهيرية الليبية - مراسل متجوّل لتلفزيون "الحياة LBC" في المغرب العربي وإفريقيا وأوروبا - كاتب وصحافي له العديد من المقالات والدراسات في العديد من الصحف والمجلات والمواقع الالكترونية اللبنانية والعربية والاجنبية (المصدر: http://alichendeb.blogspot.com/2011/01/blog-post.html)

الخدع وذر الرماد في العيون وصناعة آلهة خلف شاشات، هي الحقائق الجديدة لعالم عربي دفن ثقافاته وحضاراته وأمجاده في صحراء ليبيا الشاسعة بحجم الإرادة الأميركية ومراميها، فلقد تمكن الأميركيون منّا لدرجة أنجزنا بيدنا الإنشقاق بين أنفسنا وبين ديننا ومبادئنا وقيمنا، فأضحى الإنشقاق خدعة تخبئ بين حروفها حقيقة الخيانة، تلك الخيانة تعاطاها معمّر القذافي مخدّراً ليخون حبّ الحياة والبقاء لصالح مرجلة لم يسبقه إليها إلاّ صدّام حسين.
هذا الكتاب هو صفحات، تتمايل لا تتسلّل، صوب حقائق وأسرار كونية، استوطنت في عقل مخرج أراد أن يدين العرب بما ملكت أياديهم... فنجح، لكن من ينجح في فك رموز القذّافي وعبره رموز وطلاسم وسمت الإنسان الليبي، لتستوردها منه شعوب عربية رفعت بدورها راية الثورة، لكنها استُثيرت ولم تثُر.
