هذا الكتاب المتواضع هو تجربة ومحاولة جديدة لرسم المنعطفات التاريخية الحرجة، التي مرّت على مجتمع مدينة بريدة، عاصمة منطقة القصيم، كتبتُها على شكل حلقات، منها ما هو تاريخي قديم، وما هو ذكرياتنا الجميلة التي مررنا بها منذ السبعينات الهجرية / الخمسينات الميلادية من القرن المنصرم حتى الآن، والهدف توفيرها لأي باحث يحاول دراسة هذا المجتمع القصيمي الذي يعيش في قلب الصحراء.
لا يوجد عندي دافع آخر إلى نشر هذه المقالات، ولا أعتقد أن شخصاً مثلي قد يكون متحمساً لنشر أي شيء، في هذا الوقت الذي تداخلت فيه المفاهيم واختلطت، واشتبكت بشراسة، حتى صرنا في حالة من العماء، لا ندري فيها أين الطريق الصحيح الذي يمكننا سلوكه.
