وتلعب الجامعة في العالم العربي، ومنه الأردن، باعتبارها إحدى التنظيمات الفكرية والثقافية والاجتماعية الأساسية، فبقدر ما تستطيع هذه الجامعات أن تعلم وتربي الإنسان على استخدام الطريقة العلمية في حل المشكلات واتخاذ القرارات، والتكيف مع المستجدات، والتمكن من الاختيار والانتقاء من البدائل العديدة التي تظهر في ظل الحداثة والعولمة بقدر ما يتقدم المجتمع ويتطور.
