هذا الكتاب ليس للمتعة الذهنيّة المجرّدة، وليس الغرض منه نيل رضا القارئ وموافقته وتصفيقه واستحسانه؛ بل الغرض منه تعليمه التفكُّر، ومساعدته على تكوين ملكة للنظر والنقد والحكم. كل ذلك بطريقة غير مباشرة.
فحين يُعاين القارئ المتفحّص منهج النظر ذاته وهو يُفكك الفكر السياسي ثم يُقْرَأُ به الأدب ثم تناقش به بعض مسائل العقيدة والفلسفة ثم يتشكّل به دُعاء يستلهم سير الأنبياء؛ فإنه سيُدرك -ولو بشكل غير واع- وحدة المعارف الإنسانيّة، ومن ثم أهميّة وحدة منهج النظر والرؤية الكونيّة الحاكمة والمهيمنة على التناول. وسيُدرك أيضًا أن الفصل المصطنع بين العلوم والمعارف الإنسانية مُجرّد فصل مدرسي إجرائي لا قيمة له، ولا يتم تكريسه إلا لتوثين حقل من المعارف أو الافتراضات التي بُنيت عليها بعض النظريّات "العلميّة".
