تعد تائية ابن الفارض من اخطر قصائد الشعر الصوفي العربي علي الاطلاق, حتي لقد توفر علي شرحها عدد كبير من الشراح علي مدي ما يقرب من خمسة قرون.
وكون شراح التائية من الصوفية, هو الاساس الذي بني عليه الباحث فرضه متسائلاً عن: ما هيه الطريقة التي تناول بها الصوفية الشراح هذا النص الصوفي؟ وعلام يعتمد هذا التناول؟ أعلي قواعد يأخذون انفسهم بها ويجمعون عليها ومن ثم يحتكمون إليها؟ ام علي طرائق فردية تختلف باختلاف مشاربهم؟ وان وجدت تلك القواعد, فهل يمكن لها ان تشكل بصورة او بأخري نظرية او شبة نظرية في النقد الادبي, يمكن ان يطلق عليها اسم (النقد الصوفي).
وكان علي الباحث بادىء ذي بدء ان يحقق نص "التائية" الذي لم يحقق من قبل, من واقع نسخ الشروح المختلفة, المخطوطة والمطبوعة, حتي يخرج النص في اصح صورة وآصلها, ولقد جاء البحث في اربعة ابواب تسبقها مقدمة وتعقبها خاتمة: الباب الاول: "ابن الفارض شاعر التصوف الاسلامي العربي", الباب الثاني: شروح التائية وشراحها وهو الباب الذي احتوي الفصل الثاني منه علي النص الكامل للتائية الكبري محققا, وكذلك شرح موحد لها, الباب الثالث: التائية الكبرى... بناؤها الفكري لدي الشراح, الباب الرابع: التائية.. مقوماتها وخصائصها الفنية.
