أما معايير "الجمال" فأهمها جودة المعنى، ونقاء العبارة، وجودة الأسلوب، وسهولة اللفظ، فقد جهدنا كي نثبت أشهر وأجمل ما في الأدب العربي، مع العلم أن الشعر المشهور أو الجميل الذي قاله العرب يلزمه مجلّدات كثيرة لجمعه.
