بين دفتى هذا الكتاب قدمنا في الفصل الأول لمادة العلاقات الدولية، وخصص الفصل الثاني للتطور التاريخي لعلم العلاقات الدولية، ثم الآراء والمقترحات التي قدمت حول الفكرة الدولية، وفي الفصل الثالث عالجنا موضوع نتاج القرن التاسع عشر من اتحادات، ومؤتمرات، وتحالفات لتنظيم العلاقات الدولية، ويأتي الفصل الرابع مشتملاً على دراسة لأمثلة من التنظيمات العالمية والإقليمية، وفي هذه الدراسة بسط للظروف السياسية والتاريخية للأهداف والتيارات الفكرية التي نشأت في ظلها هذه المنظمات، ثم تحليل للأهداف التي تعمل كل منها لتحقيقها، والمبادئ التي تسير على مقتضاها، والهيئات العامة فيها والإجراءات المتبعة فيها وطريقة التصويت، والوظيفة التي تؤديها هذه المنظمات، وإن كنت قد نهجت نهجاً واحداً وتسلسلاً واحداً نبغى من ذلك أن يسر على القارئ أمر المقارنة بينهم.
