بحث جديد عن الجذور الأصلية للمصدر، في اللسان العربين يبين ما غفل عنه كثير من النحاة واللغويين والدارسين، وألقوا فيه أحكاماً متناقضة متضاربة، رسخت معالمها في الأذهان والألسنة والأقلام، وصارت مجال حوار وجدال واحتجاج، على مدى القرون والأجيال.
وقد عالجنا موضوعه خلال ثلاثين سنة، نتتبع جزئياته وشوارده وموارده، ونحاضر طلاب الدراسات العليا شرقاً وغرباً، في نتائج البحث، مع تحرير المسائل وترميم الثغرات وتقويم الحصائل، حتى استقام كما هو الآن بين يديك.
بدأنا بالأعراض عن الموقلات التعيميمة المشهورة المتداولة، في الموضوع، واعتمدنا أساليب الدرس الإحصائي المنهجي، فظهر لنا في مستهل البحث ومطاويه نشاط حيوي للمصدر، يشغل أكثر ميادين اللغة والصرف والإعراب، وقد تبدى هذا باستقراء عملي لعينات عشوائية وضابطة، شملت العديد من مصنفات عروبة اللسان، فكانت النتائج علمية موثقة، بالأدلة الموضوعية الوافية.
ففي ميدان اللغة، تصدر بؤرة الأسر المعجمية المتشعبة، خلال صور التعبير والبيان، في الحقل الصرفي تملك الكفاية الاشتقاقية، تبعأً لاعتقاد قدماء العرب، مع رفض نظريات الجذر والثنائية والنحت، وفي عالم الإعراب رأيناه يحوز قمة هرم العمل النحوي، خلافاً للنظرية الفعلية عند النحاة، ويوزع وظائفه على سائر العناصر المشاركة فيه حتى الأدوات، ويسيطر على مفاهيم التأثر والتأثير بقبضة فولاذية، ثم شارك في السياقات الإعرابية المختلفة، بأنماط تركيبية خطيرة، يجهل أكثرها الدارسون.
