يمكن القول إن النهضة أبعد من ذلك عهداً وأعمق جذوراً، غير أن الثورة قد أعلنت عنها وجسدتها، فاقترنت بها وغدت تاريخاً لها، وكانت المنطلق الذي أدى إلى ظهور الغرب مجدداً على مسرح التاريخ كأمة ذات شخصية أصيلة مبدعة، متمسكة بحريتها وإستقلالها، فإذا لكل بلد عربي عيده الوطني، فإن يوم التاسع من شعبان هو العيد القومي للبلاد العربية جميعاً؛ لأنه أعظم الأيام في تاريخها الحديث، فهو يوم الوثبة الأولى والثورة الكبرى، ويقظة الشعور القومي، وتلاقي آمال العرب على إختلاف مذاهبهم ومنابتهم، وستظل ذكراه حافزاً لشحذ الهمم، وتجديد النقمة على كل متغصب، وإذكاء الشعور الوطني في النفوس، حتى تتحرر كل أرض عربية من الإحتلال، وينعم كل وطن عربي بالإستقلال.
واقتران النهضة العربية بالثورة على الأتراك، ينبه الأذهان إلى الصفة بالأولى من صفاتها، وهي اليقظة القومية، وشعور العرب بأن ثمة رابطة قوية تجمع شتاتهم، وتؤلف بين قولتهم، وهذه الرابطة هي القومية العربية التي تجعل منهم كياناً متماسكاً موصول الشعور متحد الأهداف.
كل هذه الأسباب المتقدمة مجتمعة ألزمتني لدراسة شعر الثورة العربية الكبرى، ومن قبل شعرها التقديمي والإرهاص لأولي دراسة فنية تركز على إتجاهاته ومضامينه الثورية الواقعية الدالة والمعبرة عن حقبة زمنية مشرقة ومُشرفة على ساحة خريطة الوطن العربي، الرازح تحت ظلم الطغاة قبل حدوثها، فتمثلت أصالته في عمق الثورة العربية وضمن مجرياتها إلى أن تحقق النصر المؤزر.
