"عاصفة الجن" عمل روائي جديد للكاتب الجزائري خليل حشلاف يسلط الضوء على الخطوك العريضة والحركة السياسية في مرحلة تاريخية معينة، وهي لحظة انفجار الحركة الدموية في الجزائر، وفيها ينطلق من تلك الأحداث ويعيد صوغها وفق رؤيته الفنية مع الاعتناء بالتفاصيل والجزئيات التي تتجاوز الحركة السياسية إلى جس نبض الحركة الاجتماعية ورصد الحراك المجتمعي في مرحلة حاسمة من عمر الجزائر.
وفي الرواية يبدأ الكاتب باعتراف لبطلته "أمينة" بأنها هي من قتلت والدها الذي يعمل في كوادر الحزب الحاكم ضد حزب الجبهة الاسلامية للإنقاذ، فيتم ربط أسباب قتلها لوالدها بأنه رفض شاباً من الطبقة الكادحة "ترج الله" الذي تقدم لخطبتها؛ ولكن الأمر أكثر من ذلك إذ أنه يتعلق بمصير وطن حلم أبناؤه بالتغيير في كل شيء. يقول أمينة: "... لا أرى في هذا السجن الدامس ضيراً، بل هو رحمة لامرأة قاتلة، مسكين ذلك الضابط الخجول لا يريدني أن أعترف ويبحث لي عن مخرج في أن القاتل قد يكون من أقربائي وأتستر عليه وأن حرمان أخي لي من الجامعة بعد اكتشاف علاقتي بترج الله والحادث الغامض الذي أودى به إلى حالة الجنون وخروجه إلى الشارع يهذي، كلها عوامل أثرت فيَ وهي الأخرى جعلتني أيأس من الحياة وأوسم نفسي بالقاتلة، تحت عنف المشادات التي حدثت بيني وبين أبي؟!..". في هذا الفضاء الروائي تدور رواية "عاصفة الجن" متخذة من تاريخ الأفراد مادة للقص...
