في جديدها الأدبي "عرافة المساء" ترسل القاصة شيمة الشمري صوراً جميلةً تستخدم من خلالها الرمز بشكل تشكيلي وعبر منظومة من الأداءات التعبيرية الحسية التي توجهها الذات الكاتبة لاقتناص اللقطات ذات المغازي، حيث تشعرن معطيات واقعية بلغة مقتصدة ملمحة. وفي مشاهد شفافة تستبطن دلالات عميقة ورحبة، فتفاجىء المتلقي باقتحامات مشاكسة، ومفارقات مدهشة تنطوي على معانٍ إنسانية لافتة.
في الكتاب (75) قصة قصيرة جداً عمدت فيها الكاتبة إلى تكثيف اللغة وشحنها بطاقة شعورية للتعبير عنم رؤاها، نقرأ لها "يسكنها الشتاء" تقول فيها:
" أنا لست امرأة ...
أنا مجموعة عصافير تضامنت من شدة البرد ليدفىء بعضها بعضاً ...
وبعد انتهاء الشتاء ... تفرقت ... حلق كل منها باتجاه ...
وبقيت روحي موزعة هنا وهناك ، تنتظر عودة الشتاء ... !".
أما تحت عنوان "لا عودة" فنقع على بوح لأنثوي شفيف: قال لها: هل نسيت كل ما بيننا لهذه السهولة ؟ نسيتني !؟.
قالت: بل بصعوبة .. والأشياء التي تغادرنا بصعوبة لا تعود ! ! "
وعلى هذا الإيقاع تأتي بقية قصص المجموعة نذكر من عناوينها: "مصير" ، "ويل لهم" ، "عباءة أحلامي" ، "لا عودة" ، "جبلان من حب" ، "وفاء" ، "إعتراف" ، "عزم" ، (...) وقصص أخرى.
