في جديده الشعري «العرَّافة»، بدا الشاعر ناصر الشيخ أحمد الثويمر يتضور عشقاً، لامرأة ليست كباقي النساء، امرأة الخيالات واللغة الصامتة، يستحضرها كحلم، خالعاً ظله عليها، ليجعلها في تبادل رمزي للحلم والواقع، موظفاً ثيمة (الحب) توظيفاً قائماً على نظام نصي مختلف، يتوحد معها، ويضاعف من تأثيرها على النفس/الذات الشاعرة؛ ليصبغ على حياته كل طراوتها وجمالها، وقد اجتمعت العاطفة عنده إلى قريحة فياضة جعلته يغرف من بحرٍ، فيسيل شعره في خفةٍ ولباقة تعبير، وسهولة تمتد بامتداد قصائده على طول صفحات الديوان. في القصيدة المعنونة "بعض الأحلام شهية" يقول الشاعر الثويمر:
"حين تأتي ينبهت الصمت/ ويستعيد الحرف شفاه وليدة/ طوابير من الشوق مطمئنة/ تتخذ لنفسها ظلال/ وتشدو وترحل نحو ظلها/ أفق من الأماني يمتد بصيصه/ غرق قلبها حدا بدأت الفضاءات/ فيه حلم واسع المدى/ أدسه في جيوب الشوق/ وأنحر به ظنوناً عارية/ كحلم وردي يتوسده الليل/ وعلى جانبيه/ نجم وقمر ودفء وقُبلٌ شهية".
يضم الديوان ستة عشر قصيدة في الشعر العربي الحديث جاءت تحت العناوين الآتية: "زائرة الليل"، "بعض الأحلام شهية"، "حالة شغف مستعصية"، "بوح الياسمين"، "وجه المرايا"، "العَرَّافة"، "لا شيء يدوم"، "وجدت قلبي"، "لن أمضي معذباً"، "حُلمٌ مُعلِّقُ على الشباك"، "وتسيء ظنونك"، "أفاضت بسرِّ الهوى"، "لمن البوح؟"، "سطوة البرد"، "يقسم بفمك"، "القادم أجمل".
