يهدف هذا الكتاب إلى دراسة جريمة القذف دراسة مقارنة بين الشريعة الإسلامية والقوانين الوضعية وألقي في الفصل التمهيدي نظرة على التاريخ جريمة القذف في الشرائع السابق للإسلام ثم موقف الإسلام منها ثم نظرة قانون الجزاء العثماني إليها وأخيراً معالجة المشرع الأردني لها في قانون العقوبات الأردني أما الفصل الأول فقد تناول مفهوم القذف وتعريفه ومحل الحماية الجنائية وذاتية القذف وتمييزه عن البلاغ الكاذب وتمييزه عن الإهانة وهدف الفصل الثاني إلى دراسة أركان جريمة القذف كالركن المادي وركن العلانية والركن المعنوي وتناول الفصل الثالث مسألة الجزاء وعقوبة القذف وسلطة المحكمة في تطبيق العقوبة وتناول الفصل الرابع الأحكام العامة كتحريك دعوى القذف.
