ويتناول الباب الثاني الذي يشتمل على ثلاثة فصول منهجيات وأساليب قياس وتقويم الجوانب المعرفية المتمثلة، في التحصيل الدراسي والكفايات، والذكاء الإنساني والاستعدادات الخاصة بأنواعها المختلفة.
ويتناول الباب الثالث الذي يشتمل على ثلاثة فصول أيضاً، منهجيات وأساليب قياس وتقويم الجوانب غير المعرفية المتمثلة في الميول، والاتجاهات والشخصية الإنسانية.
ويشتمل كل من هذين البابين على أمثلة متنوعة الاختبارات والمقاييس الشائعة الاستخدام في قياس الجوانب المعرفية والنفسية الحركية، والوجدانية، والشخصية.
أما الباب الرابع فيشتمل على فصلين يتناول أحدهما أهم التطورات النظرية المعاصرة في القياس والتقويم التربوي والنفسي، ويتناول الآخر بعض التوجيهات التطبيقية المعاصرة التي تستند إلى هذه التطورات النظرية.
ويعالج الكتاب الجوانب النظرية والتطبيقية معالجة، متكاملة حيث تستند التطبيقات المختلفة إلى الأطر النظرية المتعددة، ونتائج الدراسات والبحوث المتعلقة بها. كما يوضح المفاهيم والأساليب المختلفة بالعديد من الأشكال التخطيطية لكي يتيسر على القارئ استيعابها واستخدامها في مجالات اهتمامه. وينتهي الكتاب بمعجم مختصر للمصطلحات الأساسية في القياس والتقويم التربوي والنفسي.
