نبذة عن الكتاب: قلت الدراسات التأريخية عن تأريخ العراق بعد سقوط الدولية العباسية سنة هـ/1258م وشاع بين المؤرخين والباحثين تعبير ((الفترة المظلمة)) للدلالة على الحقبة التاريخية التي مر بها العراق منذ الغزو المغولي وحتى مطلع القرن العشرين وقد اقتصرت الدراسات التأريخية القليلة التي كتبت عن هذه الفترة على التأريخ السياسي في حين أهملت الجوانب المهمة الأخرى المتعلقة بحياة المجتم نبذة عن الكتاب: قلت الدراسات التأريخية عن تأريخ العراق بعد سقوط الدولية العباسية سنة هـ/1258م وشاع بين المؤرخين والباحثين تعبير ((الفترة المظلمة)) للدلالة على الحقبة التاريخية التي مر بها العراق منذ الغزو المغولي وحتى مطلع القرن العشرين وقد اقتصرت الدراسات التأريخية القليلة التي كتبت عن هذه الفترة على التأريخ السياسي في حين أهملت الجوانب المهمة الأخرى المتعلقة بحياة المجتمع العراقي ونعني بذلك النواحي الاقتصادية والاجتماعية والثقافية . من هنا يجيء هذا الكتاب عن تأريخ العراق الاداري والاقتصادي في العهد العثماني الثاني 1638 - 1750م اي منذ استرداد السلطان مراد الرابع بغداد في سنة 1638م وحتى قيام ما يعرف بحكم المماليك في العراق 1750 - 1831م إلا ان هذا التحديد الزمني لا يعني حصر البحث بين هذين التاريخين فقط اذ ان الدراسة الحضارية لا تبدأ من سنة معينة ولا تقف عن سنة اخرى بل هي حركة دائمة من فترة لأخرى.
