إن إستيعاب طبيعة العلاقة الديالكتيكية التي تربط بين الوطني والطبقي، أو بين تحرر مجموع الأمة من نير السيطرة الإستعمارية الأجنبية وتحرر جماهير الكادحين من نير الإستغلال الطبقي، وهو الشرط الذي لا بد منه لنجاح الحزب الشيوعي في مقاربة المسألة القومية والتصدي لحل معضلاتها.
فالعجز عن إستيعاب طبيعة هذه العلاقة يؤدي عادة إلى وقوع الحزب الشيوعي في الإنحرافات الإنتهازية، يمينية كانت أم "يسارية"؛ فتغليب الجانب الطبقي على الجانب الوطني، في سياسة الحزب الشيوعي، وذلك من خلال التركيز على مهمات الثورة الإجتماعية في الوقت الذي تجابه فيه البلاد مهام التحرر الوطني، يؤدي غالباً إلى وقوع الحزب في إنحراف النزعة العمالية "اليسارية"، ويساعد على إضعاف دور الشيوعيين في صفوف الحركة الوطنية وعزلهم عن أوسع الجماهير الشعبية.
أما تغييب الوجه الطبقي المستقل للحزب الشيوعي، وذلك من خلال تمييع الطبيعة الطبقية لموقفه من المسألة القومية وإنتهاج سياسة "تبعية" تجاه قيادة الحركة الوطنية "البرجوازية"، فيؤدي عموماً إلى وقوع الحزب الشيوعي في إنحراف الإنتهازية اليمينية، وإلى إنتفاء دوره النضالي المستقل كمعبر عن مصالح الطبقة العاملة وجماهير الكادحين، وإلى إزالة الفروق التي تميزه عن أحزاب البرجوازية الوطنية.
إذن، وعلى هذا الأساس، بإمكاننا طرح إشكالية والبحث على النحو التالي: كيف استوعب الشيوعيون الفلسطينيون طبيعة العلاقة الديالكتيكية التي تربط بين الوطني والطبقي، أو بين "الطبقة" و"الأمة"، في الثورة التحررية المناهضة للامبريالية والصهيونية، في كل مرحلة من مراحل تطور حركتهم، إبان عهد الإنتداب البريطاني؟...
