عوامل بناء الحضارة :
والحضارة مشروط قيامها بطائفة من العوامل منها ما يستحث خطاها ومنها ما يعيق مسارها ، ومن هذه العوامل :
(1) العوامل الجيولوجية : فعصر الجليد أعاق مسارها ، والتربة الخصبة استحثت خطاها .
(2) العوامل الجغرافية : المناخ المناسب يستحث خطاها ، ولكنه لا يخلق حضارة خلقاً إلا أنه يهيئ سبيل ازدهارها وتقدمها ، وحرارة المناطق الاستوائية المرتفعة وما يحتاج تلك المناطق من عوامل بناء الحضارة :

(2) العوامل الجغرافية : المناخ المناسب يستحث خطاها ، ولكنه لا يخلق حضارة خلقاً إلا أنه يهيئ سبيل ازدهارها وتقدمها ، وحرارة المناطق الاستوائية المرتفعة وما يحتاج تلك المناطق من أمراض لا تهيئ للحضارة أسبابها وهي بالتالي لا تستحث خُطاها .
(3) العوامل الاقتصادية : (( تبدأ الحضارة في كوخ الفلاح ، ولكنها لا تزدهر إلا في المدن )) [ قصة الحضارة 1/5 ] قد يكون لشعب ما مؤسسات اجتماعية منظمة وتشريع خلقي رفيع تزدهر فيه صغريات الفنون لكنه إن ظل في مرحلة الصيد البدائية فإنه يستحيل أن يتحول من البدائية إلى الحضارة تحولاً تاماً . إن الإنسان لا يجد لحضارته ( لتمدنه ) فراغاً ومبرراً إلا إذا استقر في مكان يَفلح تربته ويخزن فيه الزاد ليوم قد لا يجد فيه مورداً لطعامه .. ثم تراه يبني لنفسه الدُور والمعابد والمدارس ويخترع الآلات التي تعينه على الإنتاج ويستأنس الحيوان ثم يتعلم كيف يعمل في نظام واطراد وكيف يزداد قدرة على نقل تراث الإنسانية من علم وأخلاق نقلاً أمينا.
