تتسارع نبضات الحروف في نصوص الشاعر "عبد الله الغبين" لتتسيدها نبضة الموت على وقع زلزال هز مصر: (18 يناير) العنوان الذي اختاره لمجموعته الشعرية هذه، يخبرنا عبرها عن أشكال عدة للموت نجمت على إثر تلك الكارثة ولكن بلغة الشعر.
في القصيدة المعنونة (18 يناير) ينفتح النص الشعري عند الشاعر: "كومضة الحلم/ توارى خلف لحد/ ينتظر القيامة/ لم يهرب حين حاصره الأصدقاء بالبياض/ ولم يمنح هتافات الموتى مزيداً من فضوله/ حين هدَ السيل عريَ الذاكرة../ توسد عشبة برية/ وفي غفلة من ضجيج المقابر/ رش على جذرها ملح ذاكرته/ واثقاً رقص في وجه الريح/ حمل جسده(...) ليت الفتى حين نوى التنزه في مركب الموت استشار!!". بهذه الأحاسيس المفجعة يؤثث الشاعر لنصوصه عبر لقطات تشوبها سخرية مريرة، وإشارات لفظية، ولغة أدبية على مستوى عال من الرهافة والحس الشعري الصادق، الذي لا يجيد التعبير عنه إلا شاعرٍ متمكن كـ "عبد الله الغبين".
قسم الديوان إلى مجموعتين الأولى بعنوان: "سيناريو لموت بعيد"، والثانية "منمنمات".
