في هذا الكتاب، ستذهب في رحلة طويلة تمتد من آفاق الفضاء المظلمة الى تفاصيل الأرض الزاهية، حيث أننا سنبدأ رحلتنا في الوقوف على أقصى حافات الكون، للتعرف على أقصى ما وصلت إليه البشرية الى الآن، و من تلك النقطة سنبدأ بالسفر الى الأرض، لنتعرف على موقعها الخارجي و منظومتها الفلكية، و بعد سنوات ضوئية، سنصل الى مدار الأرض لنأحذ استرحة في محطة الفضاء الدولية، حيث سنشاهد لؤلؤتنا الزر في هذا الكتاب، ستذهب في رحلة طويلة تمتد من آفاق الفضاء المظلمة الى تفاصيل الأرض الزاهية، حيث أننا سنبدأ رحلتنا في الوقوف على أقصى حافات الكون، للتعرف على أقصى ما وصلت إليه البشرية الى الآن، و من تلك النقطة سنبدأ بالسفر الى الأرض، لنتعرف على موقعها الخارجي و منظومتها الفلكية، و بعد سنوات ضوئية، سنصل الى مدار الأرض لنأحذ استرحة في محطة الفضاء الدولية، حيث سنشاهد لؤلؤتنا الزرقاء من الفضاء الخارجي، لنتأمل كل من نحب على هذا الكوكب، ثم سنأخذ كبسولات الهبوط لإكمال رحلتنا الى موطن الحياة، و بعد فترة وجيزة سنصل الى أولى محطات الأرض، إنه غلافنا الجوي و الذي سنمر عبر طبقاته لنرى تركيبته و آليته، و لنلاحظ الخلل الذي حصل فيه بسبب بعض الكائنات الخطرة التي تعيش على الأرض، و في أثناء تلك الرحلة، سنرى الاختلاف الشاسع في ألوان سطح الأرض، لنهبط على السطح الذي يأوى في أحضانه بذور الحياة، و عند ذلك الحين سنتعرف غلى أسباب اختلاف السطح ما بين صحاري قاحلة و غابات مثمرة، لنسير في تلك الأقاليم للتعرف على نظام الحياة فيها، و خلال هذه الرحلة البرية، ستقطعنا مياه الأرض الشاسعة، و المتمثلة في بحرها و محيطاتها الكبيرة، لنستأجر قارباً لإكمال طريقنا لنتعرف على تلك البحار و المحيطات، و عند نقطة معينة سنبدأ بالغوص لنصل الى أعمق نقطة في المحيطات، وخلال تلك الرحلة سنتعرف على الأشكال القاعية، لنخرج من هذه الأعماق متجهين بقاربنا الى اليابسة، لنشاهد طبيعتها و القوى الخارجية و الداخلية المؤثرة في تشكيلها، وعند ذلك الحين ستكون قد وصلت الى منزلك و أنت تعرف موطنك حق المعرفة.
