ما يكتب اليوم بالعربية على أنه هايكو، يفضل توصيفه، كما أرى، بكلمة: تغريدة، وجمعها تغريدات، أو تغريد وجمعها تغاريد. وهي كلمة ذات بث إيجابي في الدلالة والرنين على طريقة الهايكو بشكل من الأشكال. وهذا ما حاولت قوله، وشرحه وتقديمه، في مشروع "ديوان الشعر العربي الجديد" بأجزائه الخمسة وبالأجزاء القادمة. ولم أتجرأ مرة واحدة على توصيف تلك المقاطع والتغريدات بأنها هايكو. لكني ادعيت ما يكتب اليوم بالعربية على أنه هايكو، يفضل توصيفه، كما أرى، بكلمة: تغريدة، وجمعها تغريدات، أو تغريد وجمعها تغاريد. وهي كلمة ذات بث إيجابي في الدلالة والرنين على طريقة الهايكو بشكل من الأشكال. وهذا ما حاولت قوله، وشرحه وتقديمه، في مشروع "ديوان الشعر العربي الجديد" بأجزائه الخمسة وبالأجزاء القادمة. ولم أتجرأ مرة واحدة على توصيف تلك المقاطع والتغريدات بأنها هايكو. لكني ادعيت أنها تجاول الاقتراب من روح الهايكو، وادعيت أيضا أنني وأنني.. ولكن.
يبدو لي أن الهايكو، على صعيد اللغة العربية، يشكل إغراء للكتابة فقط لأنه نص قصير ويوهم، من حيث الظاهر، أنه لا يحتاج إلى أية براعة لغوية. أضف إلى أننا نستظل بكلمة غريبة، ساحرة، مشهورة عالميًا، وبالتالي لها مالها من الحماية والدفاع الذاتيين، ولكن هذا خطأ ويقود إلى أخطاء أخرى,
