"تزايد الاهتمام بفلسفة العلم بشكل واضح ، و ذلك يمكن ملاحظته من ازدياد الكتابة حول موضوعها نتيجة لتزايد عدد العلماء الذين أصبحوا على وعي بفلسفة موضوعاتهم و المشكلات التي تثيرها تلك الموضوعات ، و كذا لازدياد عدد الفلاسفة الذين أصبحوا على وعي بنتائج العلم ، إلا أن هذا الاهتمام المتزايد بفلسفة العلم لم يصحبه اتفاق حول طبيعة هذا البحث ، و لا حول طبيعة الموضوعات التي يتناولها ال "تزايد الاهتمام بفلسفة العلم بشكل واضح ، و ذلك يمكن ملاحظته من ازدياد الكتابة حول موضوعها نتيجة لتزايد عدد العلماء الذين أصبحوا على وعي بفلسفة موضوعاتهم و المشكلات التي تثيرها تلك الموضوعات ، و كذا لازدياد عدد الفلاسفة الذين أصبحوا على وعي بنتائج العلم ، إلا أن هذا الاهتمام المتزايد بفلسفة العلم لم يصحبه اتفاق حول طبيعة هذا البحث ، و لا حول طبيعة الموضوعات التي يتناولها الفلاسفة ، بل إن الاختلاف حول طبيعة فلسفة العلم لم يعد مقصوراً على الفلاسفة ، إنما تعداه إلى المهتمين بدراسة المنهج الذين يمارسون البحث بالفعل ، الأمر الذي أدى إلى ظهور كثير من وجهات النظر المتعلقة بالموضوع . "
