تل قوينجو الممتد على الجانب الأيسر من دجلة في مدينتي الموصل، كان على مرّ السنين مسرحاً لقصة مدينة نينوى وأهلها الممسوخين حجارة مع ملكهم الثور المجنح.
كان الناس سعداء والمدينة ترفل بالعزّ والرخاء على مدى سنين حتى جاءهم ملك ظالم طغى وبغى ونشر الفساد بين العباد حتى تجرأت أم على أن تنظّف وليدها برغيف الخبز، كفروا بنعمة الله فغضب الله عليهم ومسخهم حجارة مع ملكهم الشرير.
وقد ظلّوا مطمورين قروناً حتى جاءت البعثة الآثارية لتعثر على آثار مدينة نينوى وتُخرج الملك الثور وتسحبه بالحبال من أعماق حفرة تحت الأرض.
وظلّت حكاية الثور المجنح ومدينة نينوى تتأرجح في حياة الناس ما بين ملك ظالم وأسطورة حجر ممسوخ، حتى صار الناس بين مسحوقين على مدى السنين وثيراناً مجنّحة في الحياة والممات.
عفواً، أنا لا أكتب تاريخ أيّ كان، ولكني ألملم بعض الخيوط لأتحدث مع نفسي أمام ذاتي والآخرين، وقد يكون، بل حتماً سيكون هناك وجهات نظر للآخر التي لن يراها أبداً كلانا من الجانبين.
أين هي البداية؟ أي بداية؟ وبداية ماذا؟... كم مرة توقفت وأمسكت بهذا الخيط أو ذاك وقلت في غرور هنا؛ هذه هي البداية... أبداً لا أعرف تماماً من أين أبدأ، أتردد طويلاً قبل أن أختار، هكذا أنا!...
بالتأكيد هناك بدايات، وسوف يتساءل الآخر الأذكى: أليست هنا كانت البداية؟... إذاً لن أتوقف، وسوف أقبل بكل ما سيُقال عن البدايات، ولكل من يريد؟...
