ظاهرة التطرف الديني تكاد تكتسح العالم كله اليوم، وقد شاهدنا منها جماعة التكفير والهجرة عندنا.. وشاهدنا ما فعله زعيمها بالمئات من أتباعه الذين كرسوا أنفسهم له حتى الموت وحتى الجريمة.
وإذا كانت هذه المؤشرات تدل على شيء فهي تدل على حالة تعطش ديني عند الشباب، وحالة خواء وفراغ وضياع واستعداد للموت وراء أول صارخ في برية يدعوهم إلى الله.
لقد فشلت التكنولوجيا وحدها في أن تكون هدفًا للحياة، وفشلت الحضارة المادية في أن تقدم المحراب البديل عن المسجد والكنيسة، وانهزمت الماركسية في امتحان التطبيق وانكشفت عوراتها وثغراتها، وفقدت تلك اللمعة التي كانت تجذب إليها الشباب، كما عجز رجال الدين التقليديون من قساوسة ومشايخ عن مخاطبة الأجيال الجديدة فأصبح الباب مفتوحًا على مصراعيه لأي زعامة متطرفة يقودها أي شيطان ملثم يجيد حرفة الكلام، ويتقن هذه اللغة السحرية التي يتكلم بها أهل الله، وعادة ما يكون هذا الشيطان من أصحاب القوى المغناطيسية في التأثير.
وحينئذ فالويل لنا منه ومن كل من يمشي خلفه.
