الحركة الحوثية نشأت كتيار فكري سياسي ثوري متأثر بالثورة الإيرانية وبمفكريها الكبار في بداياتها الوطنية الإسلامية من جهة؛ وقد ارتبط هذا التيار أيضاً بما عُرف بالصحوة الإسلامية العامة (السنية والحركية الطابع) التي شهدها الوطن العربي منذ مطلع الثمانينات من القرن العشرين من جهة ثانية.
هذه الحركة ذات المنشأ الإسلامي النهضوي العام، تحولت بفعل السياسات المحلية والتدخلات الإقليمية والدولية إلى أن تكون ظاهرة طائفية سياسية شبيهة بتجربة حزب الله اللبناني لجهة بناء منظمة سياسية عسكرية أيديولوجية تمثل رأس الرمح لزيدية سياسية تعمل على المحاصصة الطائفية في النظام السياسي اليمني الجديد، وتمتلك في الآن نفسه إستراتيجية واضحة للهيمنة وليس للمشاركة الحقيقية.
والحال أن المسألة الحوثية كانت وما تزال أعمق وأعقد من مجرد إتفاقات وقف إطلاق نار أو إتفاقيات هدنة أو حتى حوار وطني ناجح أو متعثر.
لقد طرح التطور السياسي والعسكري للحركة الحوثية في اليمن أسئلة كثيرة، خصوصاً بعد ثورة شبابية سلمية أطاحت بالنظام السابق، وبعد نجاح مؤتمر الحوار الوطني في إنجاز وثيقة ضمانات تنفيذ مخرجات الحوار الوطني الشامل، وهي أسئلة مشروعة كانت في أساس إنطلاق هذا البحث.
من هم هؤلاء الحوثيون وما هي صلتهم بالمذهب الزيدي؟ هل صحيح أنهم من الفرقة الزيدية الجارودية؟ وبماذا تختلف الجارودية عن الزيدية الرسمية أو الهادوية أو القاسمية الرسية؟ وهل هناك فرق بين زيدية صنعاء وزيدية صعدة وزيدية ذمار؟ ولماذا يحارب الحوثيون منذ عشر سنوات؟ وما هي صلتهم بالرئيس اليمني السابق علي عبد الله صالح.
وما هي طبيعة إنتماءاتهم القبلية في اليمن؟ وهل هم تيار اخترق التقسيمات القبلية؟ وما هي صلتهم بإيران وبحزب الله اللبناني؟...
كل هذه الأسئلة وغيرها الكثير يحاول هذا الكتابة الإجابة عنها بأسلوب موضوعي رصين.
