يشكّل كتاب السيادة الشعبيّة الدينيّة: اشكاليّة المفهوم جزءًا من الحراك الفكريّ حول مفهوم السيادة الشعبيّة الدينيّة، سعى الباحثون في مقالتيه لإيجاد منحًى تنظيريًّا لها.
وضّح الباحث في المقالة الأولى "السيادة الشعبيّة الدينيّة بين الإمكان والامتناع المفهوميّ" مفهوم السيادة الشعبيّة الدينيّة وعرض الآراء حوله ليقول أنّه مفهومٌ ممكنٌ وبيانه ممكن أيضًا وعناصره المكوّنة منسجمة ومت يشكّل كتاب السيادة الشعبيّة الدينيّة: اشكاليّة المفهوم جزءًا من الحراك الفكريّ حول مفهوم السيادة الشعبيّة الدينيّة، سعى الباحثون في مقالتيه لإيجاد منحًى تنظيريًّا لها.
وضّح الباحث في المقالة الأولى "السيادة الشعبيّة الدينيّة بين الإمكان والامتناع المفهوميّ" مفهوم السيادة الشعبيّة الدينيّة وعرض الآراء حوله ليقول أنّه مفهومٌ ممكنٌ وبيانه ممكن أيضًا وعناصره المكوّنة منسجمة ومتناغمة. بعدها ذكر الأركان الثلاث لنظريّة الشعبيّة الدينيّة وهي: الدين، القيادة الدينيّة والشعب.
أمّا في المقالة الثانية "السيادة الشعبيّة الدينيّة ونُظم الديمقراطيّة"، فقد ذكر الكاتب تأثير الثورة الإسلاميّة على الفكر السياسيّ الإسلاميّ. فبدأ بأُسس قيام الدولة الدينيّة ونظرة الإسلام للسياسة والسلطة وأنّه، بوصفه آخر الأديان السماويّة وأكملها، لا يمكن أن يترك شؤون الناس الإجتماعيّة واحتياجاتهم العامّة وأهمّها مسألة الدولة والسلطة دون بيان. ثمّ ذكر أسس السيادة الشعبيّة الدينيّة ، ثمّ تعرّض لتعريف الدولة الدينية –الثيوقراطيّة- من جهة والديمقراطيّة من جهة أخرى؛ التصنيف والعناصر الأساسيّة. ثمّ قدّم نقدًا للثيوقراطيّة، والفرق بين النظام الديمقراطيّ والسيادة الشعبيّة الدينيّة.
وختم بخلاصة أنّ نظام السيادة الشعبيّة الدينية ليس التقاطًا بين نظامين، بل هو مستوحًى من الحكومة النبويّة والعلويّة في صدر الإسلام، وهو الأساس الذي بُنيت عليه الجمهوريّة الإسلاميّة، ودعّم رأيه هذا بشواهد من الأحاديث النبويّة الشريفة وما عبّر عنه الإمام الخميني قدّس سرّه.
