فكنائس الشرق المسيحي على مختلف تقاليدها وطقوسها قد أثّرت وتأثرت ببعضها البعض. ولم تكن العزلة التي فرضتها أحداث التاريخ وأوجبتها على بعض منها، سوى عزلة مؤقتة -ولو طال أمدها حيناً- إذا سرعان انقشعت، لتجد الكنيسة -أي كنيسة- نفسها في نفاعل مباشر من جديد مع أخواتها، حتى ولو كانت قد انزوت متقوقعة على نفسها ردحاً من الزمن.
